Powder Metallurgy is a highly economical and efficiency
developed method of manufacturing ferrous and non-ferrous
parts. It is also cost effective in producing
parts of simple in nature or closer to final dimensions.
The average productivity (per hour) of the process
can range from a few hundred to over thousand parts.
Therefore, only minimum and limited use of machinery
is required.The size of PM parts may also be under
control to closer dimensional, higher density and
higher strength as a result.The P/M parts may also
be resized and coined for attaining high density
or strength. Secondary operation can be applied
by using Stamping, CNC Milling or Cutting /Machining, Heat treatment, Plating,
Resin, Tumbling/De-burring, Polishing, Coating, Drilling and Horning
